We are authorized to verify all electricity meters approved in Austria for active and reactive energy. These include
with 20-year verification interval
- Electromechanical household meters (Ferraris meters)
with 10-year verification interval
- electronic household and current transfomer meters
- remotely readable smart meters from different manufacturers
- active energy meters with MID certificate for DIN rail installation
The main connection meter must be provided by the respective distribution system operator, who is responsible for ensuring its valid verification.
For meters within an house hold installation, the operator is responsible for compliance with verification obligations. A meter that successfully passes subsequent verification gets labelled with a current verification mark and may be used again for a further 10 or 20 years.
We perform verification tests for active power meters with MID as used in commercial buildings or photovoltaic systems. The costumer gets legal certainty, avoids the integration of new devices, and conserves resources through continued use.

Meters eligible for verification in Austria are marked with an appropriate approval mark:

Alternatively, the device has been placed on the market under recognition of the MID:
- MID marking (example from 2013):

The MID marking is considered a recognized initial verification of the device and applies exclusively to the measurement of active energy. After expiry of the verification period, subsequent or re-verification is required.
