We offer an extensive range of electrical test. For this reason we operate three different test facilities for different voltage levels as well as for fiber optic cables and communication cables. In addition we have access to different mobile measurement equipment in order to perform the required tests in the field.
The accredited testing laboratory ets operates a shielded partial discharge test facility for paper and XLPE-insulated medium voltage cables and accessories, such as joints and terminations. In this faraday cage we conduct the following electrical tests:
- voltage tests
- partial discharge measurements
- partial discharge detections
- loss angle measurements (tan δ)
In addition ets performs resistance measurements of conductor resistance and electrical screens. By means of a voltage source of 50 kV it is possible to test cables up to a length of 2000 m.
The accredited testing laboratory ets – Energie- und Telecom Service GmbH operates a test facility for low voltage cables and low voltage cords in Vienna.
In addition ets performs resistance measurements of conductor resistance and electrical screens. By means of a voltage source of 4 kV it is possible to test cables up to a length of 2000 m.
The accredited testing laboratory ets also operates a test facility for communication and data cables. ETS performs measurements on conventional copper communication cables as well as on optical fiber cables.

The operating capacity measurement, the coupling measurement and the earth coupling measurement are performed at a test frequency of 800 Hertz.

- cable type U/UTP cat. 5 – 100 MHz
